This market leading business operates nationally and in New Zealand. Due to internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to step into a hands‑on leadership role within a large, complex operating environment.

This opportunity will suit a technically strong accountant who enjoys being close to the business, leading people, and partnering with Commercial Finance in a complex, fast‑moving environment.

The Role

Sitting within a major operating division, this position leads the divisional accounting function and partners closely with Commercial Finance to provide critical inputs, reviews and commercial commentary.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading month‑end and year‑end close activities.
- Managing and developing an accounting team of ~ 8.
- Owning balance sheet integrity and reconciliations.
- Partnering with Commercial Finance on results and analysis.
- Supporting statutory reporting, audits and external compliance
- Working across multiple systems during an ongoing digital transformation..

About You





You are a confident, detail‑driven finance professional with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset who is comfortable being hands‑on while managing people in a complex environment.
You will bring:

- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong financial accounting and period close experience within large or contract‑based organisations
- Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing an accounting team.
- Confidence working across multiple ERP and legacy systems (SAP, TM1 or similar).
- Experience with data visualisation tools, e.g. Power BI, Tableau
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
