About the role

This is a functional testing role for finance systems focused on validating changes against business requirements, performing data validation testing, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage for complex bespoke systems.

Key responsibilities

- Experience in testing Finance or Financial system testing experience.

- Nice to have experience in F&O; Testing.

- Conduct thorough functional testing to validate changes against business requirements

- Perform data validation testing and create test data in test environments

- Log, track, and collaborate with stakeholders for defect resolution

- Document test cases and test results effectively, and maintain regression packs with reusable test cases

- Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, and communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes

- Provide timely updates on test case execution status, summary of test results, coverage achieved, and outstanding defects or risks for go-live

- Operate effectively in fast-paced environments

About you





- Strong expertise in functional testing, especially on bespoke systems

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with both business and technical teams

- Hands on data and functional testing of complex applications

- Detail-oriented with robust analytical problem-solving abilities

- Proficient in using JIRA or similar tools for test and defect management

- Familiarity with Zephyr (JIRA add-on) is an advantage

- Adaptable with a proactive approach to continuous improvement

- Experience in testing APIs

- Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures and data validation

- A solid foundational knowledge of core technology concepts (e.g., APIs, Swagger, Authentications, User Interfaces)

- Experience working with testing tools like Postman

- Ability to quickly get up to speed with complex and bespoke applications
