The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced AO6 Senior Project Officer, Safety & Wellbeing to join the Safety and Wellbeing team.

Reporting to the Manager, you will play a key role in the coordination and delivery of a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing projects and initiatives.

This is a varied, project-focused role involving research, analysis, stakeholder engagement, project planning, implementation and continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively with senior leaders, operational teams, employees, volunteers and specialist stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose outcomes that support organisational health, safety and wellbeing objectives and legislative obligations.

The role will suit an experienced health, safety or wellbeing professional who can manage multiple priorities, build effective relationships, undertake research, solve problems and turn requirements into practical outcomes.

As the AO6 Senior Project Officer, Safety & Wellbeing, you will:

- Coordinate and manage a broad range of health, safety and wellbeing projects and initiatives;
- Assist with the management and implementation of multiple initiatives to ensure quality project outcomes meet stakeholder objectives;
- Undertake research and analysis to support the development and implementation of health, safety and wellbeing projects;
- Identify opportunities for improvement in strategies, processes and service delivery;
- Provide high-level Health,



Safety and Wellbeing advice to senior leaders and key stakeholders regarding project progress and issues;
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery;
- Assist with the preparation of submissions, briefs, correspondence, project documentation and reports;
- Represent the organisation at relevant forums and facilitate working groups to ensure key project deliverables and timeframes are achieved;
- Assist with contract management processes to support project deliverables; and
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing programs and initiatives.

Required Experience

We are seeking multiple experienced health, safety and wellbeing professionals with solid project delivery, research and stakeholder engagement capability.

You will bring:

- Demonstrated experience coordinating or managing health, safety and wellbeing projects or initiatives;
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Experience developing and implementing policies, programs, frameworks or processes;
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, operational teams and diverse stakeholder groups;
- Experience working with health, safety and wellbeing systems, governance frameworks, risk management and legislative requirements;
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare briefs, reports, project documentation and stakeholder communications;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines and project deliverables;
- Understanding of workplace health, safety and wellbeing principles and legislative obligations;
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical, fit-for-purpose solutions;
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a broader team environment; and
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes without direct authority.





Highly regarded:

- Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Health and Safety;
- Experience working in a large, complex or highly regulated organisation;
- Qualifications and/or experience in workplace investigation;
- Experience across health, wellbeing, psychosocial risk, injury management or safety programs; and
- Experience working with geographically dispersed workforces or diverse stakeholder groups.
