About the Role

Allied Express is seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Supervisor to join our Operations team in Queensland. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating fleet operations throughout the shift, ensuring the safe, productive and compliant movement of freight. You will play a key role in supporting driver performance, coordinating resources, maintaining service standards and fostering our “Safe Home Every Day” culture.

Working closely with the Fleet Manager and operational leaders, you will help optimise fleet productivity, resolve operational challenges and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery and cost performance. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment and is passionate about people, safety and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading and supporting drivers and operational team members to achieve safety, service and performance objectives.

- Coordinating daily fleet activities and resources to ensure workloads are managed effectively and service deadlines are met.

- Monitoring driver and fleet performance, identifying issues and taking corrective action where required.

- Driving a strong safety culture through coaching, compliance, inspections and proactive risk management.

- Ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant and operational, including inspections and pre-start checks.

- Ensuring fleet operations comply with company standards, customer requirements, HVNL and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.

- Working collaboratively with operational leaders to optimise fleet flow, resource utilisation and service performance.

- Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.

- Monitoring and reporting on key operational metrics including driver performance, utilisation, productivity and service delivery.

- Investigating operational issues, service failures,



vehicle defects and compliance concerns and implementing appropriate corrective actions.

- Maintaining accurate operational records and promptly reporting safety incidents, hazards, vehicle defects and compliance breaches.

About You

We are looking for proactive and people-focused leader who can motivate teams, drive operational performance, and champion workplace safety.

- You have previous supervisory or leadership experience within transport, logistics, warehousing or freight operations.

- You are a confident people leader who can motivate, support and get the best from your team.

- You have a strong understanding of fleet operations and operational workflows.

- You are knowledgeable in Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations.

- You have excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

- You are safety-focused, accountable and committed to leading by example.

- You have confidence using operational systems, technology and reporting tools.

- You are hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

- You have a strong focus on service delivery, productivity and continuous improvement.

- You are adaptable and able to effectively manage competing priorities.
