Complete Staff Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Federal Government client for an EL1 Program Reporting Officer to support the delivery of a complex, large-scale transformation program. The role will run for an initial engagement term until June 2027, with an option to extend.

About the role

The Program Reporting Specialist role is responsible for establishing, coordinating and maintaining integrated program reporting, performance monitoring and governance information across multiple workstreams and releases.

The role requires the ability to consolidate complex delivery, business, regulatory and technology information into clear, accurate and timely reporting products that support informed decision-making at all levels of the program.

You will work closely with program leadership, the Program Management Office (PMO), delivery teams and stakeholders to ensure reporting reflects program performance, risks, dependencies, milestone achievement and delivery outcomes.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, maintain and enhance integrated program reporting frameworks, templates and standards.

- Coordinate the collection, validation and consolidation of reporting inputs from multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

- Produce accurate and timely weekly, fortnightly, monthly and ad hoc program reports.

- Develop and maintain executive dashboards, performance scorecards and reporting products.

- Monitor delivery performance against approved plans, milestones, schedules and program objectives.

- Analyse data to identify trends, risks, issues, interdependencies and emerging delivery concerns.

- Support executive governance forums through the preparation of reports, briefing papers, presentations and meeting materials.

- Maintain reporting on program risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and decisions.





- Support benefits management activities through the monitoring and reporting of program outcomes and performance indicators.

- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure reporting reflects current program status and progress.

About you

- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) delivering program reporting, PMO reporting or portfolio reporting services within large and complex government programs.

- Proven experience developing and maintaining executive-level dashboards, governance reporting and performance reporting frameworks.

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience interpreting and presenting complex delivery information, risks, dependencies and performance data.

- Experience supporting senior executive governance forums through the preparation of high-quality reporting products, briefing materials and presentations.

- Experience working within highly regulated government environments, including governance, assurance and audit requirements.

- Advanced proficiency in reporting and data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, DevOps, Power BI and Microsoft Office products.

- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and gather reporting inputs across multiple workstreams.

- Desirable: Experience working within large-scale transformation, reform or regulatory change programs.

- Desirable: Experience supporting projects or programs delivered using Agile, Protected or hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Desirable: Qualifications or certifications in Project Management, Program Management or PMO disciplines (PRINCE2, MSP, PMBOK or equivalent).

As this role sits within the Australian Public Service, applicants must hold current Australian Citizenship and hold (or have the ability to obtain) an AGSVA issued Baseline Security Clearance.
