Inventory & Purchasing Controller
- $91,511 - $108,060 plus 15% superannuation (salary above the base will be dependant on skills and experience)
- Location – Greenway + Canberra City
Are you highly organised, analytical and passionate about inventory management and supply? ActewAGL is seeking an Inventory & Purchasing Controller to join our Procurement team and play a key role in supporting the effective supply of goods and services across the business.
Based within the Finance Division and reporting to the Supply Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining inventory and purchasing controls and data, supporting supply chain operations, and driving continuous improvement through reporting and analytics.
This is an opportunity to apply your analytical skills, influence business outcomes and help drive effective inventory and purchasing practices across the organisation.
About the Role
As the Inventory & Purchasing Controller, you will:
- Maintain catalogues for goods and services within Oracle Fusion.
- Create and manage Blanket Purchase Agreements.
- Monitor inventory levels and support effective stock management.
- Analyse inventory and purchasing data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
- Report, analyse and coordinate the resolution of material shortages. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure materials are available to support operational requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements, procedures and best practice inventory management.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience working with inventory modules within an ERP system (Oracle Fusion and purchasing experience highly regarded).
- Experience in catalogue management and/or item master data management.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills within inventory, purchasing or supply chain environments.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A robust attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
Desirable:
- Experience using Power BI for reporting and dashboard development.
- Knowledge of contemporary supply chain and inventory management practices.
