We’re looking for a CrownBet Sportsbook Analyst to support our Risk & Trading function by monitoring betting activity, analysing customer and market risk, and providing operational support to ensure the CrownBet sportsbook is managed efficiently and responsibly.

Flexibility is essential, as this role requires availability to work Friday through Tuesday, with shift times of either 1pm–9pm or 11am–7pm. If required, ad hoc shift swaps will be accommodated where possible.

REQUIREMENTS

What you will bring

- Strong analytical capability and high attention to detail.
- Ability to assess betting patterns and identify risk signals.
- Understanding of racing and major sporting codes.
- Strong Excel competence.
- Clear written communication skills for reporting commentary.
- Prior experience in wagering (risk, trading, or analytical function) (desirable)
- Basic SQL or database querying capability (desirable)
- Experience with promo abuse detection (desirable)
- Enthusiastic with a willingness to learn.
- Commercially minded and risk-aware.
- Calm under pressure during major events.
- Proactive and willing to escalate appropriately.




- Comfortable working autonomously, including weekends.
- Process-driven with continuous improvement mindset.

Some tasks include, but are not limited to:

- Observe and analyse large exposures across racing and sports markets.
- Escalate material liabilities in accordance with risk thresholds.
- Flag upcoming “hero” events and potential large liabilities.
- Review significant weekly milestones
- Run and review various reports, providing commentary and insights where required.
- Review potential promotion abuse.
- Assist in selecting daily racing and sporting specials.
- Provide timely communication of specials to partners.
- Monitor market performance and pricing effectiveness.
- Monitor Pulse alerting and action where required.
- Analyse effectiveness of Pulse alerting.
- Provide recommendations to improve alert logic and process.
- Attend weekly Risk & Trading meetings.
- Provide feedback on operational effectiveness and risk processes.
- Contribute to post-event reviews and trading retrospectives.
- Provide weekend trading support where required.
- Assist during peak racing and major sporting events.
