About the role
Join cohealth's Public Intoxication Response Program and make a real difference in the community. As an Enrolled Nurse, you'll provide compassionate, harm reduction-focused care to people experiencing acute intoxication, supporting safer health outcomes across Melbourne.

Your duties include:
- Support patient focused care, from preadmission to post discharge
- Assess and observe immediate health needs as a first responder and provide care as needed
- Provide assertive outreach and on-site care consultation with the registered nurse
- Work collaboratively with internal partners and external stakeholders to optimise safety and outcomes for people intoxicated in public

Our ideal candidate:
- Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Minimum of two years’ experience working as an Enrolled Nurse
- Experience in community nursing or providing nursing care within community-based services
- Experience working with people who use alcohol and other drugs and/or people experiencing homelessness is highly desirable

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
