The Position:

We require the services of an experienced, motivated & skilled professional Refrigeration & Airconditioning Mechanic/Electrician to join our Breakdown team. This role requires specialist training in equipment used extensively in the food service industry. We maintain Refrigeration, Airconditioning & Food service equipment at multiple sites across the Mackay region for multiple National Restaurant Chains. Due to ongoing growth in demand for our services we need good tradespeople to maintain, service & repair the equipment under our care.

Job Descriptions: This role focus's on the repair and maintenance of very specialised equipment used in the commercial food service industry. OEM training and support will be provided.

You will perform a variety of Breakdown & Maintenance tasks on specialist equipment including but not limited to: Taylor Soft Serve Ice cream machines; Henny Penny Fryers & Warmers; Impinger Ovens; Hot & Cold Food Display cases just to name a few. As well as this you will also carry out repairs & maintenance to the site Refrigeration Cabinets & Cool rooms as well as Airconditioning & Ventilation equipment. These works will be repeated at the various locations where this is required within the Mackay region. While this will be the primary focus of your role, from time to time you will also be required to assist other members of the team on other HVAC repairs & maintenance at other sites.

While you will report directly to the Service Coordinator the role requires workers to work unsupervised & use their initiative to complete set tasks, while at the same time you will have the back up of the working directors 42 yrs of experience across all aspects of the trade. You will be required to work within the safe systems of work provided to complete the tasks and reasonable overtime when asked to do so.

Previous Experience: Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous :

- Food Service Equipment- Taylor & Carpigiani Ice cream equipment; Henny Penny Fryers & Food Heaters; Franke Equipment; Impinger ovens; Welbilt - Multiplex Drink Dispensers-BIC Systems ; General Appliances

- Refrigeration Equipment- Cool/Freezer Rms; Refrigerated Drink & Display units; Ice makers- all brands; Commercial Air Dryers for pneumatic systems

- Air conditioning- Residential Splits - All types & brands; Commercial Airconditioning - VRF Systems; Package & large Split ducted systems; Open drive large capacity Built up equipment; Chilled water systems; Process & Medical chillers





- McDonalds Restaurant Equipment Repairs of all types highly regarded.

To fill this role we would prefer a minimum of 2 yrs post trade experience, however, if you would like to move to this area of the industry & are willing to learn, then please submit your application.

If you have completed UEE32111 Appliance Repairs & want more experience in the HVAC Industry, then we are very interested in having you join our team of HVAC professionals in Mackay.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Fully Qualified Refrigeration & Airconditioning Mechanic Cert3 in either a MEM or UEE Stream of Training;

- Current Qld Restricted Electrical licence or above including UEE32111 ( Appliance Repair) restricted licence holders will be highly regarded

- Current Arctic Refrigerant Handling Licence

- Current Qld Drivers Manual Licence;

- White/Blue card
