About you
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Enforcement Officer to join our team at the Yackandandah Library & Offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, maintaining public safety, and providing excellent customer service to the community.
You will:
- Enforce local laws and regulations effectively and impartially.
- Conduct investigations and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes and ordinances.
- Issue warnings, notices, and citations for violations as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for legal proceedings.
- Liaise with local law enforcement and other agencies to coordinate enforcement activities.
- Provide information and education to the public regarding compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in law enforcement, compliance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required.
