Byrnecut is looking for skilled workers and experienced tradespeople from Whyalla and the surrounding region who are ready to take their industrial experience into underground mining.

Trades backgrounds are preferred, however all industrial backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Your existing skills can provide a pathway into underground mining, with opportunities to build your skills and progress your career with Byrnecut.

Our New to Mining Transition Program supports this progression, with an entry point as an Underground Truck Operator and opportunities to develop into the following roles:

- Bogger Operator

- Charger Operator

- Nipper

- Charger Operator

- Service Crew

- Cable Bolter

- Grader Operator

Role Requirements

- Permanent Australian working rights

- Experience in trades, labour, agricultural or similar environments is preferred; all backgrounds will be considered

- Valid Australian Drivers Licence with the ability to drive a manual vehicle

- Current National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months

- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
