Position Overview:
As a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and regulatory compliance. This pivotal role, reporting to the Head of Risk and Legal, is responsible for ensuring the organisation’s compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. As a senior member of the compliance team, you will also provide guidance, direction, and coaching for the Legal team members, fostering a culture of integrity and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and interpret regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organisation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Provide expert advice and support to internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
- Lead and support investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and deliver compliance training and awareness programs.
- Mentor, coach,
and provide direction to junior compliance staff, supporting their development and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to compliance.
Qualifications & Qualities:
- Computer Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is highly desirable, and proficiency with customer relationship management systems is preferred i.e. Salesforce.
- Customer service focused on an administrative role and client relationship environments with a broad range of exceptional communication skills.
- Flexibility with ability to multi-task.
- Excellent relationship building skills based on trust and understanding.
- Problem solving with the ability to find solutions to challenges.
- Excellent analytical skills to support and assist the sales team to effectively advise clients and manage portfolios.
- High levels of ethical conduct, with strict adherence to ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality in client matters.
- Attention to detail, with careful review and analysis of financial data.
- A background in property or financial services is preferred, but not essential.
