About the role
As the Glazier, your role will include identifying the specific glass types and measurements needed for each project, positioning glass onto padded surfaces, and ensuring glass and mirrors are installed properly.
Key responsibilities
- Identify the specific glass types and measurements needed for each project
- Position glass onto padded surface
- Measure and mark glass surfaces accurately to prepare them for cutting
- Inspect glass materials for defects and damages
- Cut according to specific patterns, designs, or templates
- Utilise glass pliers and notched hand tools to snap off excess material and trim sheets to size
- Ensure glass and mirrors are installed properly
- Smooth edges of glass
- Achieve special effects by coating, cutting, and trimming glass
