About the team

The Operational Transformation and Improvement Division provides strategic leadership, capability and support for improvement and service reform initiatives at the Women's, in the Chief Operating Officer (COO) Directorate.

The Division is responsible for leading the COO Directorate improvement and optimisation agenda, supporting delivery of the Strategic Plan, driving operational excellence, strengthening accountability and governance, embedding continuous improvement, enabling evidence-based decision making and ensuring the area is positioned to respond effectively to future healthcare challenges and opportunities.

The Division leads major improvement and optimisation programs including:

- Operating model redesign
- Service review and reform programs
- Performance improvement initiatives
- Operational governance and accountability frameworks
- Benefits realisation and performance management
- Change management and development
- Continuous improvement capability
- Enterprise analytics and performance intelligence
- Innovation and system reform initiatives

About the role

The Director, Operational Transformation and Improvement is a senior leadership and executive role responsible for leveraging existing excellence and collaboratively designing, leading and delivering the COO Directorates strategic improvement for clinical and operational sustainability and improvement.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Director provides leadership across transformation, performance improvement, redesign, operational reform, governance, accountability frameworks and strategic change management. Thsi role will build on what is already great at the Women's.

As a member of the Women's Senior Leadership Team, the Director works collaboratively with Executive, clinical and corporate leaders to deliver sustainable improvements in patient outcomes, workforce capability, organisational effectiveness, financial sustainability and operational performance.

The role leads and supports the development of contemporary operating models, drives continuous improvement capability, supports reform initiatives and establishes a culture of accountability, innovation and evidence-based decision making.

A regular day will see you:

- Lead Strategic Improvement




Develop and deliver transformation, reform and service improvement initiatives that align with organisational priorities, improve operational performance, and support sustainable clinical and corporate service outcomes.
- Drive Performance, Governance and Data-Informed Decision Making
Establish governance, accountability and performance frameworks, leveraging analytics, digital solutions and performance intelligence to optimise effectiveness and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Build Capability and Lead Change
Lead change initiatives, develop improvement and change management capability, and foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, accountability and workforce readiness.
- Partner with Leaders and Stakeholders to Deliver Outcomes
Act as a trusted adviser to Executive and operational leaders, building strong internal and external partnerships to advance innovation, transformation, health system reform and organisational priorities.

About you

You are a strategic and collaborative leader with extensive experience driving transformation, organisational improvement and change within complex health or large service environments. You bring solid expertise in governance, performance, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence, with a proven ability to deliver sustainable outcomes through innovation, influence and people leadership.

You'll bring with you:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health, Business, Public Administration, Organisational Development, Management or related discipline.
- Ability to lead complex transformation, reform and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver measurable organisational outcomes.
- Proven capability to lead, develop and inspire high-performing multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and inclusion.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk, accountability and performance frameworks, with the ability to drive organisational performance and perks realisation.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across executive, clinical, operational and external stakeholder groups.
- Expertise in leading large-scale change, building organisational capability and supporting leaders and teams through transformation.
- Strong strategic thinking,



financial management and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to translate insights into operational and organisational improvements.
