About the role

Underground service crew/Trade Assistant role at Steadfast Mining Maintenance, a mining maintenance provider located in Stawell, Victoria. The role involves underground service crew work including ventilation installation and repair, air/water poly pipe installation and repair, cable runs, and building of ventilation walls. You will also support underground construction activities including concreting, building, transporting materials underground and machine operating, as well as provide trade assistant support to all trades including fitters and welders.

Key responsibilities

- Underground service crew including ventilation install and repair, air/water poly pipe install and repair, cable runs, building of ventilation walls and all other service crew duties

- Underground construction including concreting, building, transporting materials underground and machine operating

- Implement solutions to minimise downtime

- Trade assistant to all trades including fitter and welders

- Conduct yard duties including pressure washing, sandblasting, painting and cleaning up

- Complete all maintenance and service crew administration requirements in a timely and legible manner

- Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings

- Participate in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and JSA's

About you

- Current Drivers Licence





- Able to work in underground conditions

- Trade background highly regarded but not essential

- Flexibility to move between projects and work shift roster when required

- Attention to detail providing high quality installation, construction and repairs

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, Drug & Alcohol screening and Police check

- Demonstrated ability in applying the site safety systems requirements

- Demonstrated safe, qualified, and productive behaviour
