About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join the site delivery team on a major civil/infrastructure project in Melbourne. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day technical delivery of works on site - Quality control and subcontractor coordination - while building toward greater project responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and check survey Setout, levels and as-built verification for assigned work packages.
- Interpret drawings and specifications, resolving routine technical queries on site.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and site labour across assigned work fronts.
- Complete and maintain ITPs, quality records, non-conformance reports and site diaries.
- Monitor progress against program and report delays and risks to the Senior Project Engineer.
- Assist with material take-offs, procurement requests and delivery scheduling.
- Run daily prestart briefings, toolbox talks and SWMS reviews.
- Identify and report safety and environmental hazards and enforce site WHS requirements.
- Support the preparation of variation and RFI documentation.

Skills & Experience





- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent) or working toward completion.
- 3+ years' site-based experience in civil, infrastructure or building construction.
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and site safety systems.
- Current Victorian driver's licence and construction industry White Card.
- Proficient in MS Office; exposure to CAD, 12d or similar Setout software advantageous.
- Strong communicator, comfortable working within a site team.
