Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Administration Officer to join the Outpatient Services team.Â

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.Â

Services are provided through our six main campuses:Â

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.Â

We are seeking a proactive and patient-focused Administration Officer to join our Outpatient Services team.

In this role, you will provide high-quality reception and telephone support, register patients and referrals, collate and maintain referral information, coordinate patient appointments, and manage correspondence to patients, clinicians, and external practices.Â

You will liaise with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to gather and provide information,



support telehealth patients using the Healthdirect platform, and ensure clinic supplies and administrative processes are effectively maintained.Â

Working collaboratively with the broader outpatient team across Northern Health campuses, you will contribute to the efficient and safe delivery of services.Â

The successful candidate will be adaptable, multi-skilled, customer-focused, and confident using a range of computer systems, with the flexibility to work rotating shifts between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

- Strong Problem-Solving Skills & Attention to Detail – Able to think proactively, troubleshoot effectively, and maintain a high standard of accuracy in all tasks. Â

- Initiative & Ability to Work Autonomously – Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and manage workloads independently.Â
