Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Project Support Officer to join the Outpatients Department.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role provides project coordination, administrative and operational support to the Outpatient Services leadership team in the delivery of strategic service improvement initiatives across outpatient services.
The position supports a diverse portfolio of projects focused on improving patient access, reducing wait times, enhancing patient experience and implementing innovative models of care.Â
This includes supporting delivery of the Specialist Care Reform Blueprint program, service redesign initiatives, governance and reporting requirements, and other key organisational priorities.
This role is responsible for coordinating project activities, supporting stakeholder engagement, preparing reports and presentations, monitoring project progress and assisting with the implementation of sustainable service improvements across Northern Health.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience working within a public health service, hospital, specialist clinics or ambulatory care environment.
- Understanding of outpatient services, patient access, referral management and waitlist processes.
- Experience supporting service improvement, reform or quality initiatives.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, including report and presentation preparation.
- Experience collecting, analysing and presenting healthcare data.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with clinical and operational stakeholders.
- A commitment to patient-centred care,
continuous improvement and high-quality healthcare delivery.
