GemLife is looking for an experienced Plasterer to join our construction team across at our Kilcoy project.

You’ll complete internal plastering and gyprock works across residential construction projects, delivering high-quality wall and ceiling finishes safely and efficiently.

A day in the life...

You’ll install plasterboard to walls and ceilings, measure and cut materials, set and finish joints and corners, apply compounds and tape and prepare surfaces ready for painting. You may also install cornices and other plaster finishes while working closely with supervisors and other trades to keep projects on schedule.

Job Duties

- Install and fit plasterboard to walls and ceilings in accordance with project requirements.
- Measure and cut plasterboard materials to suit specific work areas.
- Complete joint setting and finishing to achieve smooth and consistent surfaces.
- Install cornices and other decorative plastering components.
- Prepare surfaces for finishing, including sanding and minor touch-up work.




- Read and interpret plans and specifications to support project delivery.
- Use plastering tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines.
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements and maintain a clean work area.

Required Skills

- Certificate III in Wall and Ceiling Lining or equivalent.
- Confidence using plastering tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good time management, teamwork and reliability.
