An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Data & Analytics Analyst to join a reputable national professional services firm. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology and business, partnering with stakeholders to improve reporting, data quality and decision-making.
The Role |
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining the organisation's reporting and analytics environment, including:
- Designing, developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI, SSRS or similar BI platforms
- Building and managing semantic models and self-service reporting solutions to establish a reliable single source of truth
- Translating business requirements into practical reporting and analytics solutions
- Developing and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines across multiple systems using SQL, SSIS/ETL, APIs and related technologies
- Designing and maintaining data warehouse structures to support reporting and analytical requirements
- Implementing and monitoring data quality frameworks to support data integrity and governance
- Developing financial and operational models, including forecasting, budgeting and risk analysis
- Analysing system integrations, data flows and performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Partnering with business teams to identify opportunities to enhance reporting, analytics and data capability
- Presenting complex data insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and accessible way
About You |
- A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics,
Statistics, Business, Finance or a related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in a technical Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst or Business Intelligence role
- Advanced SQL skills, ideally across Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle
- Robust experience with a major BI/visualisation platform such as Power BI, Tableau or SSRS
- Experience with ETL/data integration tools, such as SSIS or Azure Data Factory
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and VBA/macros
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining reporting environments across multiple data sources
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- The ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with stakeholders across the business
- Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
It would be advantageous to have:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Data Analytics, Data Science or a related field
- Power BI, Tableau or other relevant BI certifications
- Experience with Python or R
- Knowledge of data warehouse design and semantic modelling
- Experience with Azure, AWS or GCP cloud data platforms
- Database administration and query/performance optimisation experience
- Exposure to financial reporting, accounting standards or regulatory reporting
- Experience within a legal or professional services environment
- Experience contributing to data migration or system integration projects
- Understanding of Agile or iterative project methodologies
