Are you experienced in CAD drafting or production programming and looking for an opportunity to apply your skills in a manufacturing environment? Advance Sheet Metal is growing, and we're looking for a capable CAD Drafter / Production Programmer to join our team. You'll work across a diverse range of custom stainless steel fabrication projects, with no two jobs exactly the same.

About You

- CAD/drafting experience: Confident using CAD or similar drafting software and producing accurate technical drawings.

- High attention to detail: Precision and accuracy are crucial in this role.

- Strong technical aptitude: Able to interpret plans, specifications, sketches and measurements and translate them into accurate production drawings.

- Reliable and motivated: We value people who are dependable, take ownership of their work and contribute positively to the team.

- Manufacturing or fabrication experience beneficial: Previous experience in sheet metal, stainless steel, fabrication, engineering, joinery or a similar manufacturing environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.

About the Role

As a CAD Drafter / Production Programmer at Advance Sheet Metal, you'll play an important role in taking projects from plans and specifications through to production.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing production drawings and files: Creating accurate drawings and production-ready files for our manufacturing team.

- Interpreting plans and site measures:



Working from architectural plans, specifications, sketches and site measurements to develop accurate drawings.

- Programming for production: Preparing files and programs required for our manufacturing equipment and production processes.

- Liaising with manufacturing staff: Working closely with our fabricators to answer questions, resolve issues and ensure drawings are practical for manufacture.

- Supporting estimating and project delivery: Collaborating with our estimating and project teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect the required scope.

- Improving production efficiency: Helping identify opportunities to improve material utilisation and manufacturing processes.
