About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist (Part Time) on Friday's 9am to 8pm to join our pharmacy team at our Truganina VIC location. This is a part-time position suited towards a patient-focused pharmacist. We are looking for a pharmacist who genuinely enjoys getting to know their patients, building trust, and becoming a familiar face in the local community. You'll be someone who takes the time to listen, provide genuine and personalised care and enjoys developing long-term relationships with patients.

A key part of this role will also be helping us to grow our patient base through exceptional service, strong community relationships and giving patients a reason to choose Care Saver Discount Chemist as their local pharmacy.

Essential Criteria

- You must be an AHPRA-registered pharmacist, with no restrictions on your registration

- A valid Australian pharmacy degree

- Ability to work independently as a pharmacist and part of a team

- A smiley face and friendly nature,



especially with our patients

- Someone reliable, punctual and responsible when operating the pharmacy business

- Someone with flexible working hours, able to fill in on weekends, public holidays and day/late shifts as needed

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage patients from diverse backgrounds

- Demonstrated experience working in a community pharmacy setting

- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, dosing, contraindications and interactions

Desirable Criteria (Bonus!)

- Experience with Z Dispense/POS/Office

- Experience working within a medical centre pharmacy and forming close relationships with patients and doctors

- Experience with ORT (Methadone/Suboxone) and Strong Room

- Experience with Webster Packing & using SureMed DAA program

- Ability to speak a second language (other than English)

- Additional qualifications such as immunisation trained and/or HMR accredited

Key responsibilities

- Dispensing medications accurately and safely in accordance with prescriptions and relevant legislation

- Providing professional pharmaceutical advice to patients regarding medication use, side effects and interactions





- Providing pharmacy services such as ORT, MedsCheks, Diabetes Support, Stage Supply's, NDSS services, Webster Packing

- Providing clinical interventions to optimise patient outcomes

- Managing stock control, ordering and pharmacy inventory systems

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant pharmacy legislation, regulations and professional standards

- Maintaining accurate patient medication records and documentation

- Supporting the delivery of community pharmacy services, including health screenings and minor ailment consultations where applicable

- Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including GPs and other allied health practitioners

- Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting pharmacy staff members

- Maintaining professional development and keeping abreast of pharmaceutical practice updates
