Are you an experienced sewing machinist looking to join a friendly, supportive team in the furniture upholstery industry? We're looking for someone skilled with fabric and leather machining who takes pride in producing high-quality work.

This role is primarily focused on industrial sewing, with additional responsibilities in cutting materials and assisting upholsterers when needed. If you have upholstery experience, that's a fantastic bonus—but not essential.

About the Role

- Cut and prepare upholstery materials (fabric and leather) according to patterns and measurements

- Sew and assemble furniture upholstery covers using fabric and leather

- Operate industrial sewing machines with accuracy and efficiency





- Work closely with upholsterers to ensure high-quality finishes

- Assist with basic upholstery tasks when required (optional depending on skill level)

- Maintain a clean and organised workspace

- Contribute to a positive and collaborative workshop environment

About You

- Experienced sewing machinist (furniture industry experience highly desirable)

- Confident sewing fabric and leather with precision

- Experience in cutting upholstery materials (or willing to learn quickly)

- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

- Willing to collaborate and assist the upholstery team

- Upholstery skills are a bonus, but not required

Hours

- Part-time role, with a view to full-time in the future

- Part time position of 20-25 hours per week

- Stable, long-term position
