About the role

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and can effectively manage a busy construction site. The role will involve working with site supervisors and also solely looking after small projects.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily civil construction activities

- Lead and manage site crews and subcontractors

- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications

- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications

- Coordinate plant, equipment, materials, and labour requirements

- Monitor project progress and report to the Site Supervisor / Project Manager

- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and site inductions as required

- Ensure compliance with WHS requirements and company procedures

- Maintain quality control and ensure works meet required standards

- Identify and resolve site issues and coordinate solutions

About you





- Previous experience as a Civil Foreman or Leading Hand in civil construction

- Strong knowledge of civil construction practices and procedures

- Experience supervising crews and subcontractors

- Ability to read and understand civil construction plans

- Strong understanding of WHS requirements

- Excellent communication and leadership skills

- Ability to organise and prioritise work in a fast-paced workplace

- A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality outcomes

- Current driver's licence

- Relevant construction qualifications and tickets will be highly regarded
