About the role

In this role, you will provide timely specialist advice to clinicians and stakeholders on blood products, adverse transfusion reactions and appropriate transfusion practice. You will report diagnostic results and contribute to quality, audit and accreditation activities within molecular haematology, while working collaboratively with medical, scientific and operational colleagues as part of a national team.

You will also contribute to current assay development, validation, diagnostic innovation and approved research projects. An important component of the role will be developing and delivering education for registrars, staff and external audiences, including presentations and publications. The position also participates in rostered daily duties and after-hours on-call arrangements, supporting the delivery of a responsive and high-quality specialist service.

This role includes participation in an after-hours on-call roster, with an on-call allowance provided for employees who participate equitably in the roster.
