An outstanding opportunity has become available for an experienced Dental State Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of 11 established dental clinics across Brisbane, surrounding suburbs and the Gold Coast.

Working on behalf of a well-established dental organisation, we are seeking a commercially minded and highly engaging leader who can drive performance, develop people and build strong relationships with clinicians across a multi-site network.

This is a hybrid position offering a genuine mix of strategic leadership, clinic engagement and flexibility, with a travel allowance and performance-based bonuses offered in addition to the remuneration package.

The Opportunity

Reporting into national leadership, you will have overall responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of your Queensland portfolio.

You'll partner closely with Practice Managers, dentists and support teams to identify opportunities, improve performance and create highly engaged, successful clinics.

Your portfolio will include responsibility for key performance measures such as chair utilisation, appointment book management, patient numbers, practitioner hours, staffing costs and overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the performance and operations of 11 dental clinics

- Coach, mentor and support Practice Managers and dental teams

- Drive revenue, profitability and sustainable growth across the portfolio

- Manage budgets, costs and broader financial performance

- Analyse clinic KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement

- Improve chair utilisation, appointment books, recalls and patient retention

- Build trusted relationships with dentists and other clinical stakeholders

- Drive clinician and employee engagement and retention





- Identify recruitment and workforce requirements across the portfolio

- Lead operational improvement and change initiatives

- Maintain high standards of patient experience, compliance and clinical governance

- Work collaboratively with senior leadership, Finance, People & Culture and other key stakeholders

The position combines financial accountability with responsibility for clinical governance, patient experience and people leadership.

About You

To be successful, you will have previous experience within the dental industry, together with substantial business management and people leadership experience.

You will also bring:

- Solid commercial and financial acumen

- Multi-site or senior dental management experience

- Proven ability to improve practice performance

- Exceptional leadership, coaching and people-management skills

- Confidence working with dentists and clinical teams

- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

- Experience managing change and continuous improvement

- A strategic mindset with the ability to remain hands-on when required

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

- Ability to travel across Brisbane, surrounding suburbs and the Gold Coast
