Direct Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Operator/Trade Assistant to join a well-established mining fabrication business based in the Hunter Valley.

This is a great opportunity to secure consistent, ongoing work with a respected company specialising in structural steel fabrication for the mining industry. With steady workflow, optional overtime, and genuine long-term potential, this role offers excellent stability for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Operating a forklift to move materials, stock, and finished products around the workshop and yard
- Assisting with fabrication, welding support, and general workshop activities
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Using hand and power tools
- General workshop duties and housekeeping
- Working safely as part of a skilled production team

What We Need from You:





- Previous experience as a Forklift Operator, Trade Assistant, or in a fabrication/workshop environment
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) – essential
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret drawings (advantageous)
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Current driver licence and reliable transport
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test
- Full Australian working rights
