Our client is seeking experienced automotive industry professionals and educators to join its team for current and future Automotive Lecturer, Automotive Trainer, Automotive Educator and Automotive Vocational Trainer opportunities across the Kimberley and Pilbara region.

Whether your background is in light vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, mobile plant, automotive electrical, air conditioning or another related automotive discipline, this is an opportunity to put your industry knowledge to work in a different way — sharing practical expertise, inspiring apprentices and trainees, and helping build the regional workforce of tomorrow.

With opportunities potentially available across Broome, Kununurra, Karratha and South Hedland, some positions may involve travel between campuses and remote communities. Tasks and Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging, industry-relevant vocational training to apprentices, trainees and other learners.
- Share practical automotive knowledge and real-world industry experience.
- Facilitate theory and practical learning across relevant automotive disciplines.
- Support learners to develop the technical skills, knowledge and confidence required for employment.




- Maintain current knowledge of automotive technologies, practices, safety requirements and industry developments.
- Assess learner competency and contribute to high-quality training and assessment outcomes.
- Promote a strong safety culture across training environments and practical workshops.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry to ensure training remains relevant to workforce needs.
- Support delivery across campuses, regional locations and remote communities where required.
- Participate in professional development and teaching capability programs.

Skills and Experience

- Strong vocational or industry experience within the automotive sector.
- Current and practical knowledge of automotive industry practices and technologies.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Strong commitment to learner development, safety and quality training outcomes.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a broader teaching team.
- Adaptability and willingness to work across regional and remote environments.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Kimberley and Pilbara as required.
- Current driver's licence.
- Relevant licences, registrations or industry certifications required for the discipline.

Qualification Requirements

- Trade qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Electrical Technology, Automotive Air Conditioning, or another relevant automotive discipline.




- Minimum five years' vocational, industry or lecturing experience relevant to the automotive field,
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher recognised teaching qualification is desirable.

No formal teaching qualification yet? Don't rule yourself out. Successful applicants may be supported to obtain the required training and assessment qualification, with completion required within the first two years of employment.
