Based in Brisbane, Queensland, our client is an established organisation in the Information Technology industry seeking a Financial Analyst to support project-related decision making. The role focuses on providing financial analysis, reporting and insights for technology initiatives, with particular attention to end-to-end processes and user acceptance testing activities. Working closely with project managers and operational stakeholders, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for interpreting financial data, supporting budgeting processes and assisting with cost control. This position will suit a candidate with strong analytical capabilities, a structured working style and the ability to communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders across the technology environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare financial analysis and reports that support technology project decisions and highlight key trends.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities for IT initiatives by consolidating relevant financial data.
- Assist project stakeholders with interpretation of financial results, variances and project cost drivers.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of financial models used for project evaluation and planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial input into business cases and proposals.

- Solid knowledge of financial reporting principles and standard analytical techniques commonly used.
