An opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join an established resources business in Brisbane.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad role offering a great mix of financial accounting, management accounting and commercial exposure. You’ll be involved across month-end, statutory reporting, budgeting and forecasting, compliance and process improvement.

This would be a great next step for a first mover from public practice or a CA / CPA qualified accountant with around 2 – 4 years’ commercial experience who is looking for a role where they can continue to develop and broaden their experience.

The Role

- Month-end reporting, journals, reconciliations and variance analysis;
- Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, including ownership of the model;
- Statutory financial statements and support with external audit;
- BAS and compliance reporting;
- AASB16 schedules and reporting;
- General ledger integrity and reconciliations;
- Exposure to commercial and sales activities; and
- Identifying and implementing system and process improvements.

About You

You’ll be CA / CPA qualified, commercially minded and keen to keep learning. You’ll bring strong Excel and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to work with stakeholders across the business.





The business offers genuine professional development and exposure to a broad range of financial and commercial activities. The role is Monday to Friday in Brisbane, with adaptable working options including WFH and RDOs, plus occasional travel to site.
