Clean Energy Fuels Australia (CEFA), part of the OCTA Group, delivers safe, reliable and efficient energy solutions to regional and remote operations across Australia. We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Operations Technician – INLEC (LNG & Hybrid Systems) to support the safe, reliable and effective operation of our Mount Magnet LNG and Hybrid Power assets.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a capable and collaborative team in a hands-on role supporting critical energy infrastructure.

About the Role

This is a 1 year fixed term contract reporting to site leadership; you will provide electrical and instrumentation support across both the LNG and Hybrid Power systems at Mount Magnet. This hands-on role includes preventative and breakdown maintenance, fault finding, hazardous area compliance support, communication and data network health, and plant troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and control systems across LNG and Hybrid Power systems

· Carry out fault finding, testing, calibration, inspection and repair of plant equipment and field instrumentation

· Support EEHA inspections, maintenance and compliance activities for electrical equipment in hazardous areas

· Identify, report and assist with rectification of hazardous area defects and associated documentation requirements

· Provide operational coverage during staff shortages, leave periods or training coverage as required

· Support safe start-up, shutdown,



plant monitoring and troubleshooting activities across LNG and Hybrid systems

· Liaise closely with the Perth-based Remote Operations Centre to ensure effective coordination of maintenance and operational activities

· Communicate plant status, operational issues, equipment condition, isolations and constraints clearly to site and ROC personnel

· Monitor and support the health of plant communication and data networks associated with control systems, monitoring, plant visibility and ROC connectivity

· Troubleshoot and coordinate response to issues affecting communication systems, network availability and operational data transfer

· Maintain accurate work orders, maintenance records, inspection reports and defect notifications in the CMMS

· Support plant reliability, uptime and continuous improvement initiatives

· Work in accordance with permit to work, isolation, LOTO, hazardous area and site safety requirements

· Support compliance with site electrical statutory and licensing obligations where required

About You

· Trade qualifications in Electrical and Instrumentation.

· Current relevant electrical licence

· Demonstrated EEHA competency / hazardous area qualification

· Familiarity with PLC, DCS or SCADA systems

· Experience in oil and gas, LNG, power generation,



mining or similar heavy process industry

· Experience using CMMS systems such as MEX, SAP or Maximo

· Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical, instrumentation and control systems

· Ability to work safely in a live operating plant environment

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both site-based teams and remote operations personnel

· A flexible, practical and team-focused approach

Desirable

· Experience in LNG, gas processing, hybrid power or remote power generation

· Exposure to gas engines, solar, battery energy storage systems or associated plant

· Experience working with or supporting a Remote Operations Centre environment

· HV switching or HV awareness

· Previous experience as a registered electrical nominee in WA, or the ability to meet nominee requirements under an in-house electrical installing work license
