Reporting to the Unit Manager City Strategy and Major Projects, the Project Director - Major Projects will contribute to the growth and prosperity of the Central Coast through the coordination and effective delivery of complex major urban renewal projects across Gosford and the broader region.

You will lead projects across a range of scales and complexities, establishing strong governance, clear business cases and disciplined delivery frameworks. You will also provide day-to-day leadership to a small team of professionals supporting the delivery of Council's major projects.

Applicant Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications in a property-related discipline, which may include property development, project management or property economics, or substantial contemporary experience in a similar strategic project delivery role.

- Significant experience in a comparable role within a large organisation.

- Demonstrated success leading and developing teams focused on quality outcomes and customer service.

- Experience delivering projects of significant complexity within a political environment involving stakeholders with differing priorities.

- Experience in infrastructure and long-term planning, including population growth analysis, transport planning and alignment of priorities.

- Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to develop,



review and present sensitive and complex advice in a range of forums.

- Experience preparing strategies that improve, protect and value the built environment while identifying creative opportunities for urban growth and liveability.

- Demonstrated capacity to work with communities to deliver agreed outcomes.

- Completed media training, or a willingness to undertake it, and a current Class C Driver Licence.

Offer Details

The commencing salary for this position is up to $140,501k Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $162,791k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation

- We have a temporary full time role available for up to three years
- This role will be able to access a 19 day month
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
- A vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week is applied for this position.
