About the Role

We are seeking a Finance & Compliance Officer to join our Corporate Services Team. This newly created role plays an important part in supporting AHL's financial management, project reporting, funding compliance, governance, and records management functions.

Working closely with the Corporate Services Manager, you will provide accurate, timely and audit-ready support across:

- Financial processing, reconciliations and reporting

- Project financial monitoring and funding acquittals

- Compliance and contract obligations

- Project financial structures and reporting

- Records management compliance

- Corporate Services Team workflow support and business continuity

This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working with financial information, understands accounting processes, takes pride in accuracy, and can translate contractual and compliance obligations into practical actions.

About You





You will thrive in this role if you have:

- Experience in financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting.

- Strong financial literacy and understanding of accounting principles.

- An understanding of general ledger structures, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts, and the accounting impact of transactions.

- The ability to understand how financial transactions flow through an accounting system and the impact of debits and credits.

- Experience monitoring project expenditure and reconciling financial information.

- Experience in funding compliance, contract administration, or a regulated environment.

- Robust analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy.

- The ability to interpret agreements and produce clear, audit-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process and reconcile financial transactions and maintain accurate records.

2. Support project financial tracking, reconciliations, and reporting.

3. Assist with funding compliance, contract obligations, and governance activities.

4. Maintain accurate, audit ready documentation and records.

5. Support records management, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

6. Contribute to workflow continuity across the Corporate Services Team.
