About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading ASQ's people and culture function across the business.
As part of the Senior Management Team, you'll work closely with Managers and Supervisors, providing practical advice, coaching and support to build a positive, high-performing workplace culture. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same. You'll spend time engaging with leaders and employees across our operations, providing on-site support and influencing positive outcomes while making a meaningful impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Human Resources function across the ASQ Group.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, workplace policies, employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Coach and mentor Managers and Supervisors to strengthen leadership and people management capability.
- Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and initiatives.
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and organisational development activities.
- Coordinate employee training and development programs.
- Serve as ASQ's Return-to-Work Coordinator and WHSE Committee representative,
managing WorkCover claims, workplace investigations, workers compensation, return-to-work programs, people-related risk management, OHS compliance and workplace health and safety initiatives.
- Support and provide guidance to the Recruitment & HR Officer on workforce and recruitment-related matters, assisting as required during periods of leave or peak demand.
- Drive change initiatives and contribute to strategic planning and business improvement projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Human Resource Management.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior HR generalist or Human Resources Management role.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
- Exposure to WorkCover, Return to Work and claims management processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
- A current driver's licence.
