Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is constructing the Eva Copper Mine in Cloncurry, QLD with first production targeted for the second half of the 2028 calendar year. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.

Reporting to the Overland Conveyor (OLC) Crusher Principal, we are seeking a highly experienced trade and/or engineering professional who will be responsible for maintaining and improving the maintenance planning functions within the Fixed Plant Maintenance (FPM) department aligning with site Work Management Systems and Asset Management Framework.

This role will be offered as a FIFO opportunity from/to Australia working on a 16/12-day roster.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

- Establish and maintain standards and policies for the Fixed Plant Maintenance Department.

- Plan and implement solutions from the Work Management System and the Asset Management Framework.

- Liaise with environmental and community relations staff regarding issues, incidents or non-compliance within the area of your responsibility.

- Mentor and lead the FPM planning team in the development for weekly and shutdown schedules.

- Mentor and lead the FPM planning team in the creation of Primary and Secondary maintenance plans.

- Support FPM department in KPI compliance.

- Support and maintain FPM master and planning data with Pronto CMMS in adherence company standards.

- Encourage employees to investigate and trial new ideas, methods and technology, to ensure continuous improvement throughout the Department.

- Lead decision making, whilst ensuring that employees are empowered to make decisions on issues within their competency.





- Monitor decision quality, checking for adherence to policies and standards, and coaching and mentoring for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior planning role.

- Trade and/or Engineering experience in mining environment.

- Planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Well-developed facilitation and change management skills.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to effectively develop, coach and mentor staff.

- Previous work experience in Papua New Guinea is advantageous.
