Role

We are looking for a motivated expert in QA/QC inspections with the thorough understanding of AS 5131, AS 4100, AS 1554.1, AWS D1.1 and have the working knowledge of ISO 9001.

With welding inspector qualifications, you must also demonstrate a good understanding of steelwork fabrication, dimensional control, quality control and surface treatment requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Providing technical advice and assistance to the project team on all quality related activities.

- Implementing project quality management systems, quality plans, NDT requirement and inspection test plans.

- Performing inspections in accordance with all relevant standards and specifications.

- Liaising with client inspection representatives and undertaking routine surveillance inspections.

- Assisting with the production,



compilation of relevant verification documentation and completion records.

Qualifications and Experiences

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar QA/QC role, preferably in a workshop environment.

- A welding inspection qualification (CSWIP 3.1, Certificate 10 or equivalent).

- Experience in painting inspection requirements to assist our painting department when required (not critical but beneficial).

- Experience within ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

- Advanced written communication skills including report preparation.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with project personnel and client liaison.
