Parklands Christian College is seeking an exceptional Christian educator to join our Primary School as a Primary PE Teacher in 2027 for a 1 year maternity contract.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching, committed to developing the whole child and able to create engaging, purposeful learning experiences where students can flourish.

This is more than teaching Physical Education. We want someone who can inspire students to be active, develop confidence and teamwork, and understand the importance of caring for their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

About the Role

The Primary PE Teacher will provide high-quality Physical Education across the Primary School, while contributing positively to the wider life and culture of the College.

The role includes:

- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate Physical Education lessons.

- Developing students' skills, confidence, teamwork and understanding of healthy lifestyles.

- Creating a positive and inclusive learning setting where every student is encouraged to participate and achieve.

- Differentiating learning to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.

- Assessing and monitoring student progress and providing meaningful feedback.

- Contributing to sporting events, carnivals and other College activities.

- Building positive relationships with students, staff and families.

- Contributing to the wider Primary School program and College community.

- Integrating Christian values and biblical principles into teaching and learning.

We are not simply looking for someone to teach PE.

The Teacher We Are Looking For

You will:

- Be a qualified and highly effective Primary teacher with a passion for Physical Education.

- Hold relevant teaching qualifications and current Queensland College of Teachers registration.

- Have a genuine passion for working with Primary-aged students.

- Create engaging, energetic and purposeful learning experiences.

- Be committed to supporting the academic, physical, social and spiritual development of students.

- Build positive relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues.

- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.

- Bring energy, initiative and creativity to your teaching.

- Contribute positively to the culture and wider life of the College.

- Have an active Christian faith and a genuine heart for Christian education and mission.
