The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Policy Officer to join our Strategic Programs team!

As a Senior Policy Officer, you will contribute to the development, analysis and evaluation of policies, strategies and initiatives that support driver licensing and identity services across Western Australia. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will undertake research, provide expert policy advice, develop evidence-based recommendations, and prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers and correspondence. You will play a key role in translating policy into practical outcomes by supporting implementation, monitoring performance and contributing to projects, reforms and continuous improvement initiatives.

- The essential criteria outlined in the attached JDF (00028262); and

- Ability to think through complexity by applying critical thinking to policy issues, navigating ambiguity and uncertainty, assessing risks and impacts, and making informed decisions; and

- Experience in, or knowledge of, policy, privacy, governance and technology considerations relating to digital identity, identity verification, digital credentials and emerging trust frameworks, or the ability to apply transferable policy, research and analytical skills in these areas.
