About the role

Plummers Industries is a manufacturer of electrical switchboards, electrical switchrooms, switchgear and electrical equipment.

We are looking for qualified and experienced Electrical Engineering Technicians for our Perth, WA and Brisbane, QLD locations. Although working in teams, this person is required to work independently the majority of the time, therefore, switchboard wiring experience is essential to the success of this role.

Key responsibilities

- Testing, Inspection and Documentation of Motor Control, PLC and Control Panel Wiring

- Layout of electrical panels, installation of circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control centres and MV switchgear

- Estimating materials costs and quantities, and reduction of wastage

- Inspecting of designs and finished products for compliance with AS standards and specifications

- Installing assemblies for protection relays, metering and indicating devices





- Assist engineers and technical personnel

- Fault finding and problem solve to ensure job progress to meet project timelines

About you

- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification

- A minimum of 2 - 3 years relevant experience in switchboard wiring

- Understanding and application of engineering principles, and technical calculations

- Good command of spoken and written English language

- Full Australian work rights

Job Fit

This role is suitable to those who work multidiscipline manufacturing projects and who enjoy job independence. Must be prepared to work a six (6) day week to meet production deadlines. Must have Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizenship (Current Zealand Permanent Residents & Citizens may apply).
