About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on position suited to an engineer who enjoys working both on-site and in the office, with responsibility across project planning, cost control, procurement, quality, safety, documentation and day-to-day project coordination.

Key responsibilities

- Review and interpret contracts, plans, specifications and project scopes.

- Attend project sites, coordination meetings and management meetings.

- Assist with project planning, programming, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.

- Prepare project documentation, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), work methodologies and project packs.

- Prepare and maintain WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental documentation.

- Complete material take-offs and obtain, assess and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

- Prepare and raise purchase orders and assist with procurement.

- Coordinate the onboarding of plant, labour and subcontractors, including inductions and plant approvals.

- Assist with surveying and setting out works as required.

- Coordinate plant, labour, materials and subcontractors to achieve efficient project delivery.

About you

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

- Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.

- Experience with sewer, water,



drainage and electrical infrastructure. Sydney Water project

experience will be highly regarded.

- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, project documentation and contract requirements.

- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.

- Experience with project costing, procurement, progress claims and variations.

- Robust organisational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a project team.

- Current Australian driver's licence.
