Brisbane Water Bitumen is expanding and looking for two experienced professionals to join our team:

1. Sales Manager – Asphalt & Civil
2. Site Engineer – Civil & Asphalt Projects

With more than 30 years of experience, Brisbane Water Bitumen delivers asphalt, roadworks and civil construction projects across the Central Coast and surrounding regions.

Our work includes asphalt paving, road construction and resurfacing, commercial carparks, subdivisions, earthworks, pavement construction and associated civil works.

We operate our own plant, equipment and permanent crews and work across council, commercial and private-sector projects.

ROLE 1 – SALES MANAGER

Asphalt & Civil Construction

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Sales Manager to help grow our asphalt and civil construction business.

This role will focus on developing new opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and working closely with management and operations to secure profitable projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop new business opportunities across commercial, civil, council, strata, property and private-sector clients

- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers

- Follow up enquiries, leads, tenders and quoting opportunities

- Attend site meetings and inspections to understand client requirements

- Work with estimating and operations teams to prepare competitive proposals

- Maintain an active sales pipeline and follow opportunities through to award

- Identify upcoming projects and potential new markets

- Negotiate commercial terms and assist with contract discussions

- Maintain regular contact with clients before, during and after project delivery

- Support the company's overall growth strategy

About You





We are looking for someone with:

- Previous sales, business development or account management experience

- Experience within civil construction, asphalt, roadworks, infrastructure, building materials or a related industry

- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

- Commercial awareness and ability to identify profitable opportunities

- Ability to understand project scopes and client requirements

- Strong organisation and follow-up skills

- Current Australian driver's licence

Existing industry contacts across the Central Coast, Recent Castle, Sydney or broader NSW construction market would be highly regarded.

ROLE 2 – SITE ENGINEER

Civil & Asphalt Projects

We are also looking for a capable and practical Site Engineer to assist with the delivery of our civil and asphalt projects.

This role will suit someone who enjoys being on site and working closely with project managers, foremen, crews, subcontractors and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with the planning and delivery of asphalt and civil construction projects

- Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project requirements

- Assist with programming, procurement and coordination of labour, plant and materials

- Carry out site inspections, measurements and quantity checks

- Monitor project progress, quality and compliance

- Assist with levels, set-out and technical site requirements

- Maintain project documentation,



site records and quality records

- Assist with variations, progress claims and cost tracking

- Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors

- Work closely with Foremen and Project Managers to resolve site issues

- Ensure WHS, environmental and quality requirements are maintained

- Assist with project handover and completion documentation

About You

You will ideally have:

- Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

- Previous experience in civil construction, roadworks, asphalt or infrastructure projects

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

- Good understanding of construction processes, quantities and site documentation

- Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills

- Practical attitude and willingness to spend time on site

- Good computer skills and ability to manage project documentation

- Current Australian driver's licence

- White Card

Experience with road construction, pavement works, asphalt, subdivisions, council projects or TfNSW specifications will be highly regarded.

Graduates with strong practical construction experience may also be considered.
