We’re looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team, responsible for delivering financial reporting, tax compliance and statutory requirements across our AU & NZ entities. This role has a strong focus on tax accounting, tax compliance, statutory reporting and external audit, and would be ideal for a qualified accountant who has experience working across both technical accounting and commercial finance.

About the Role

Tax Compliance & Tax Accounting

- Coordinate corporate income tax returns and tax accounting activities in collaboration with external tax advisors

- Prepare/review BAS and FBT returns, ensuring accurate and timely lodgement

- Prepare quarterly and year-end income tax accounting, including tax provisions, calculations and supporting reconciliations

- Liaise with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders on tax compliance, tax accounting and related matters

Statutory Reporting & External Audit

- Assist with statutory reporting and year-end external audit activities

- Contribute to the preparation of statutory financial statements

- Act as a key finance contact for external auditors

Month-End & Financial Reporting

- Prepare/review month-end journals and balance sheet accounts

- Analyse P&L; movements and variances against budget and forecast

- Provide clear financial analysis and commentary on key movements and accounting matters

Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Support





- Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for assigned cost centres.

- Partner with business units and cost centre owners to understand expense trends and identify cost-control opportunities.

- Review and update monthly rolling cash flow forecasts.

Process Improvement

- Partner closely with offshore finance teams to ensure reporting and compliance deliverables are accurate and timely.

- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes through automation, standardisation and process simplification.

About You

- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

- CPA/CA qualified

- 3–5 years' relevant accounting experience

- Strong knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance, particularly corporate income tax, GST and FBT

- Strong understanding of statutory financial reporting and audit requirements, ideally with experience working with external auditors

- Robust financial reporting, reconciliation and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence liaising with tax advisors, auditors, internal stakeholders and regional finance teams
