We are currently seeking a Mechanical Trades Assistant to join an established business based in Acacia Ridge.

This is a great chance for someone who is mechanically minded and enjoys practical hands-on work. You’ll be working alongside experienced tradespeople, gaining valuable exposure to mechanical work and developing your skills on the job.

About the Role

Your day-to-day duties will include:
Assisting tradespeople with mechanical repairs, maintenance and servicing
Preparing tools, parts and equipment
General workshop duties and housekeeping
Assisting with basic welding and fabrication
Using workshop tools and equipment
Supporting the team with general mechanical and maintenance tasks

About You

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on and keen to learn. You don’t need extensive experience — mechanical aptitude and the right attitude are what matter most.

You will ideally have:
Good mechanical aptitude and an interest in machinery




A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Valuable attention to detail and a reliable approach to work
A genuine interest in pursuing a career in mechanical trades

Welding or fabrication experience and a current forklift ticket will be highly regarded.
