Located in the northern suburbs of Hobart, Tasmania
Seeking an on-call Laboratory Technician to join the Quality team
On-call casual contract for busy periods and leave
ASAP start
Full training provided

Duties, but not limited to :
Collection of samples
Chemical and microbiological testing of samples
Sensory testing of samples
Calibration of instruments
Assisting in production issues and internal audits
Ensuring GMP standards
General housekeeping

Skills/experience:
Bachelor of Science (majoring in Food Science, Microbiology or closely related discipline)
Previous laboratory or dairy experience would be highly advantageous
Understanding and knowledge of microbiolgical laboratory techniques
Reliable and positive work ethic
Great attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
