About the role

As a Diesel Fitter, you will play a vital role in keeping Townsville Earthmoving's fleet of heavy machinery and equipment in top operating condition. This is a full time, in office position based in Townsville, Queensland, however Out of Town work will be required from time to time. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of CAT machinery including excavators, dozers, graders and more.

What you'll be doing
Perform scheduled servicing and maintenance on a variety of equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner
Work closely with operators to understand issues and resolve problems efficiently
Maintain detailed service and repair records
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop processes
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and best practices

What we're looking for
Formal trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or Mechanic




Extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and diesel engines
Robust diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills to liaise with operators and management
Current Manual Driver's Licence - HR Desirable
Forkift Licence - Desirable
White Card - Essential
