About the role

You'll work alongside our Store Manager, helping run the floor, support the team, and keep the store presented at its best. This role has a real path to Store Manager for the right person, and suits someone keen to build a long-term career in the liquor industry. Its a full - time role, 38 hours, with regular Saturday work and occasional / rostered Sundays

Key responsibilities
Leading and supporting the team through weekend and closing shifts
Merchandising the store — building displays and maintaining solid presentation
Selling with genuine enthusiasm across wine, beer and spirits
Assisting with stock — deliveries and moving cases of beer and wine in the warehouse (reasonable fitness required)
Opening and closing procedures, cash handling and day-to-day admin

About you
Retail experience essential; wine or liquor retail experience highly regarded as well as hospitality background
Strong merchandising skills and an eye for presentation
A team player who works well alongside others
A genuine passion for wine and the liquor industry, and sales




A willingness to learn — you'll be encouraged to build your product knowledge and educate your palate over time
Availability for weekends and closing shifts
Ambition to grow into a Store Manager role in the future

Bamvino Cellars is looking for our next Assistant Manager / 2IC at Green Point — our biggest, busiest store and the hub of the business. We currently have 4 Cellars on the coast at Erina Heights, East Gosford, Point Clare and Green Point. We are a progressive business that is passionate about customer experience and finding the outstanding wines, beers and spirits from around the world. We offer the chance to complete your wine education via the Internationally acclaimed Wine Spirits Education Trust (WSET). Our business operates from 10am through to 8pm (Weds - Sat) and 7pm (Sun - Tues).
