Rockhampton Special School provides individualised education programs for student with disabilities both in the school setting and in the wider community.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Provide strategic and values-based leadership alongside the Principal to develop and implement a shared vision focused on high-quality learning, inclusion, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every student. Lead a culture of high expectations, equity and social justice, promoting ethical practice and ensuring students and staff are supported to achieve their full potential within a secure, inclusive and respectful school environment. Provide effective leadership and continuity of school operations, deputising for the Principal when required and supporting strategic planning, decision-making,



policy implementation and continuous school improvement. Build strong partnerships and team-oriented networks with students, families, staff, government agencies, community organisations, industry and other stakeholders to strengthen student outcomes, engagement and pathways. Lead strategically and manage resources effectively, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies while aligning human, financial, facilities and educational resources with school priorities and future-focused goals.
