Surgery Vet Nurse | ARH Essendon | Full-time position

We are seeking an experienced Full-time Surgery Nurse to join our dynamic team at ARH Essendon. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standard of care for our surgical patients.

Responsibilities:
Assist in pre-operative and post-operative care
Monitor patients during surgery and recovery
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
Administer medications and follow established protocols
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Provide education and support to patients and their families

Requirements:
Cert IV qualified Nurse
Proven experience in veterinary surgical nursing, with a minimum of 2 years' experience




Strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols
Proficiency in anaesthesia monitoring and sterile technique
Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
Excellent patient care skills, including pre- and post-operative management
Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff
Familiarity with veterinary medical equipment and surgical instruments, including their maintenance and sterilisation
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
