Job Summary

Role purpose
Provide end-to-end technical leadership for the Collections engineering capability supporting Cards
Modernisation.
The role spans data engineering, integration architecture, cloud platforms, PCC and .NET services
and will guide how Collections transitions from legacy Cards dependencies to HPS and commbank.data.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities
Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Cards Modernisation impacts to Collections.
Define integration patterns between HPS, commbank.data, Snowflake, Collections and PCC.
Establish reliable Collections data contracts that reduce dependency on source-system
implementation details.
Provide technical leadership across Snowflake, PySpark, AWS/DHP and .NET.
Define standards for data quality, lineage, observability and production resilience.
Lead migration, coexistence and parallel-run approaches.
Guide API, batch and event-driven integration patterns.
Lead complex cross-platform production investigations.




Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers.
Influence engineering decisions across multiple teams.

Enterprise architecture and systems integration.
Strong Snowflake experience.
PySpark / Spark.
Python and advanced SQLAWS.
Large-scale data engineering.
Data contracts and schema evolution.
APIs and distributed systems.
Up-to-date .NET architecture.
CI/CD and production engineering.
Highly regarded
Cards or payments modernisation.
HPS / PowerCARD.
Collections technology.
Experian PowerCurve Collections.
Large financial-services migrations.
DHP or similar enterprise AWS platforms.
