We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced female Disability Support Worker to join our team at a Supported Independent Living (SIL) residence located in Evanston, SA.

In this role, you will provide care and support to enhance participants' social, living, and recreational skills, empowering them to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.

The ideal candidate will be patient, caring, and possess an engaging personality with excellent communication skills. They should demonstrate a robust commitment to supporting participants in achieving their personal goals.

Key requirements include:
A minimum of 12 months of industry experience.
A proven track record of reliability.
Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and public holidays as needed.
Staff required to complete a minimum of two passive night shifts per fortnight.
A dedication to building capacity and fostering participant independence.

As a Disability Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting participants to live as independently as possible in their own homes and within the community by removing barriers and promoting engagement in a fulfilling life.
Providing personal care, including supporting participants with showering, dressing, and other daily activities.




Offering social support to participants with disabilities and those experiencing mental health challenges.
Assisting with household duties to maintain a protected and comfortable living setting.
Supporting participants to engage in community activities and social connections.
Providing therapy assistance to implement physical, speech, occupational therapy, and psychological plans and strategies as directed by allied health teams.
Encouraging participants to develop self-confidence and build essential life skills.

You will need:

*Certificate III in Individual Support (or currently undergoing studies) MINIMUM 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN THE INDUSTRY.

*Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

*Current National Police Check

*NDIS Worker Screening Check

*Working with Children Check

*NDIS worker orientation module certificate of completion

Pay: From $41.76 per hour
